For 2 to 20 guests, Domo has its own suggested platters by group size.

Is sushi the meal?
Who is eating?

Your starting plan

An estimate, not a quote. It assumes about 9 pieces a person when sushi is the meal and 5 when it is one of several dishes. Prices are current menu prices. Adjust the quantities when you order.

    What the planner is doing

It multiplies your headcount by a per person piece figure, covers the guests who skip raw fish first, then fills the rest with the platters that deliver the most pieces per dollar, adding variety as the order grows. Nothing more clever than that, which is the point: you can check the arithmetic yourself.

What it cannot know is whether the kitchen can build your order on your date. Graduation Saturdays and holiday weeks fill up, so order online early and reserve the pickup date and time you want.

The reasoning behind the per person numbers is in how much sushi do I need.

    About the planner

Where do these numbers come from?

Piece counts and prices are Domo's published menu. The per person figure is our planning assumption: about 9 pieces a person when sushi is the meal and about 5 when it is one of several dishes. It is a starting point, so adjust it for your group.

    Is this a quote?

No. It is menu arithmetic at current menu prices. The price you pay is the one in the online ordering portal when you place the order.

Why does it keep suggesting the same platters?

It leads with the platters that deliver the most pieces per dollar, then adds variety. Change anything you like when you place the order.

What about poke, bento or udon for a group?

Bowls and bento are built as single servings, which makes them good for a headcount you know exactly. Order them online by the number of guests, or call the store to talk it through.
