The platters

Most catering orders start here

The highest piece count platters, the fully cooked option, and the one to order when the occasion deserves it. Catering is the same food the counter makes every day, in quantity, made for your pickup.

Scale

Twenty guests, six platters

For twenty guests, Domo suggests six platters: two Deluxe, two Aburi Lover's, a California Roll Platter and a Karai & Ninniku. For a bigger group, the planner turns your headcount into a specific combination, and you order it online for the date and time you want.

Starting points

Four plans that work

Built from platters already on the menu, so the prices are real and the kitchen already knows how to make them. For a specific headcount, the quantity planner does the arithmetic for you.

Deluxe Sushi Platter, part of the Small Gathering catering plan

Small Gathering

A family dinner or a small office team, with cooked options covered

Pieces
64
Menu price
$126.90
Rough estimate
7 as a meal, 12 as part of a spread

One raw platter, one fully cooked. The combination almost never goes wrong with a mixed group.

Estimate only, based on 9 pieces a person for a meal and 5 when sushi is one of several dishes. We confirm real quantities with you before anything is final.

Kazoku Sushi Platter, part of the Office Lunch catering plan

Office Lunch

A conference room or a team lunch where people graze between meetings

Pieces
86
Menu price
$138.90
Rough estimate
9 as a meal, 17 as part of a spread

The Mixed Combo brings the piece count up with hosomaki and cooked items, so the spread reads generous without doubling the price.

Estimate only, based on 9 pieces a person for a meal and 5 when sushi is one of several dishes. We confirm real quantities with you before anything is final.

Premium Nigiri Platter, part of the Celebration catering plan

Celebration

Birthdays, graduations and anything where the food is part of the occasion

Pieces
96
Menu price
$205.85
Rough estimate
10 as a meal, 19 as part of a spread

Premium nigiri for the sushi people, torched aburi for the ones who like it warm and garlicky, California for everyone else.

Estimate only, based on 9 pieces a person for a meal and 5 when sushi is one of several dishes. We confirm real quantities with you before anything is final.

Mixed Combo Platter, part of the Large Event catering plan

Large Event

A hall, a church function, a graduation party that keeps growing

Pieces
164
Menu price
$257.80
Rough estimate
18 as a meal, 32 as part of a spread

Built around the two highest piece count platters on the menu. Scale it by adding more of the same rather than adding variety nobody tracks.

Catering questions

How far in advance should I place a catering order?

Sooner is better, especially for graduation season and holidays. Order online as early as you can for your date, and call the store if you need to check that a date works.

Is there a minimum order?

Call the store you are ordering from and they will tell you what they can do for your headcount.

Do you deliver?

Every order can be picked up from Kahala or Pearl Kai. For anything else, call the store you are ordering from.

How much sushi do I need per person?

Depends whether sushi is the meal or one item on a table. Our planning guide gives you a starting number, and you set the quantities when you order.

What if some guests do not eat raw fish?

The California platter is fully cooked, and the Mixed Combo and Sushi Combo platters both carry cooked items. Most mixed groups are solved by pairing one cooked platter with one raw.

Can I customize a platter?

Sometimes, depending on what came in that day. Call the store you are ordering from about what you want changed and they will confirm what is possible.

How do I pay?

Online orders are paid in the ordering portal when you place them. For a large order, call the store you are ordering from about payment.

How should I hold sushi between pickup and serving?

Keep it cold and covered, and serve it the same day. Handling guidance is on the fresh fish page.

How do I order catering?

Through the online ordering portal, the same one every order goes through. Choose the store, add the platters, and pick the pickup date and time you want. For anything the portal cannot answer, call that store.

What should I have ready before I order?

Your date, pickup time, headcount, pickup location, and whether anyone avoids raw fish. The quantity planner turns the headcount into a platter combination before you open the ordering portal.
