Start with the split, not the total

Most groups are not one audience. Some guests want nigiri and sashimi, some want a California roll and nothing else, and a few will eat whatever is in front of them. Getting that split right matters more than getting the total exactly right.

A practical approach: one fully cooked platter for every two raw platters, then adjust once you know the room. The California Roll Platter is 32 pieces of crab, avocado and cucumber and handles the cautious end of the table on its own.

Piece counts, not vague sizes

Domo publishes the piece count on most platters, which makes planning arithmetic instead of guesswork. The Mixed Combo is 46 pieces. The Kazoku is 40 and the Hotate 34. The Deluxe, Sunrise, Premium Nigiri, Sushi Combo, California and Aburi platters are 32 each.

Multiply, do not agonize. Then send the request and we will sanity check the quantities against what the kitchen can build for your date.

Questions

How many platters do I need?

Add up piece counts against your headcount. Our planning guide gives you a starting number, and we confirm before anything is final.

Can I mix platters in one order?

That is normally the right answer. Variety across two or three platters beats four of the same.

Do platters come with wasabi and soy sauce?

Wasabi is served separately rather than spread inside. Tell us in the request if you need extra condiments for a large group.

What about guests who do not eat raw fish?

Say so in the request. The California platter is fully cooked and both combo platters include cooked items.
